Chapter 11: Take the Carrot Challenge!
I challenge you to try this for one day:
For breakfast, eat one long organic carrot with your morning beverage, and then see how full you feel, and for how long. What time do you start to feel hungry? About lunchtime? That is about when I finally get hungry. For me, weight loss is almost guaranteed. And, my blood sugar is so even, I do not have cravings for sugar, bread, or other refined grain carbs throughout the day.
Carrots are high in vitamins A, K, and C, dietary fiber (which makes you feel full), potassium, B vitamins, and minerals, and they only contain about 50 calories apiece. Consider eating them washed but unpeeled, since most of the flavor lies right beneath the skin. There is no prep time, no counting, no weighing, no tracking, and no dishes to clean up. It is the easiest breakfast ever. Try it and discover how much weight you will lose!
